Cyndi and Tommy Puckett, owners of The Healing Space in Martin, started their business because they believe everyone has a story and that some stories need healing. “They need healing on all levels, mind, body, and spirit. That is why The Healing Space was created,” their website states.

Cyndi was drawn to energy and healing because her own story needed healing and energy work accomplished just that. “This is often the place that most healers are born. Out of the need for self-healing.” Once healed from a tumultuous past, Cyndi’s goal has been to contribute to the healing of others on a level that surpasses space and time.

Cyndi became a Reiki Practitioner in 2017, achieving Reiki Master/Teacher level in 2019. She is also certified as an integrated energy therapist, hypnotherapist and mindfulness coach.

Tommy has always housed a healer’s heart and a strong desire to be able to ease the suffering of others. Whether it’s buying a meal for the hungry or donating an organ to prolong a life, he sees a need and fills it, Cyndi said.

In the midst of the COVID pandemic, Tommy came face to face with the benefits of energy healing and found yet another way to contribute to the lives of others. Tommy is a certified Reiki Master, sound therapist, hypnotherapist and access consciousness bars practitioner.

Cyndi said that several years ago she got into Reiki, which is a Japanese energy therapy, and she started seeing clients out of her home. “I just decided I wanted a place outside of the home and I wanted to sell crystals and other metaphysical items,” Cyndi said. In May 2022, The Healing Space opened officially for business in Martin.

“With our energy healing techniques, we work with your body’s energy field (aura) to help your physical body remember how to heal on a cellular level. The same healing techniques also contribute to healing emotional trauma and calming the mind and spirit,” their website states.

Services offered include Reiki sessions and classes, sound immersion meditation with crystal singing  bowls and various other instruments, dry salt therapy, tuning forks, past life regression, hypnosis and many other services. Cyndi said that occasionally they have people come in who do tarot, palm and tea leaf readings as well.

Cyndi said that the experience with the community has been positive and the business is growing. “The people who come here really love it.”

Cyndi said that she is working on a new therapy, a combination of energy therapies and sound healing. “I feel like disease happens on the Shamanic level and that’s where we need to go to heal.” Cyndi said that the new therapy will start around February.

The Puckett’s also do acrylic flow paintings and they have classes which show how to mix, pour and different ways to manipulate the paint. “It’s a really fun and relaxing thing to do and we do it once every couple months,” Cyndi stated.
