Martin Farmers Market offers something for everyone

It’s that most wonderful time of year when local producers and entrepreneurs gather in downtown Martin to offer their homegrown goodies and unique artisan products to community members through the Martin Farmers Market.

Visitors to the market can take advantage of reasonably-priced, locally-grown, seasonal produce and fresh eggs, along with fresh-baked cupcakes, breads and other sweet treats. Local artisans offer handmade jewelry and home-decor creations. Shoppers will find homemade barbecue sauce and rubs, honey and jams and jellies, all produced locally.

Each Saturday morning, a lucky visitor to the market is chosen as a winner of the market basket, filled with a special treat from each of the day’s vendors. Winners must be present to claim the prize and drawings are typically held around 8:30 a.m.

Organizers of the Martin Farmers Market provide activities for children every Saturday, in addition to a food truck and local entertainment for shoppers.
This weekend, a Juneteenth celebration event is set for Saturday’s market.

The Market is open every Wednesday from 2-5 p.m. and every Saturday from 8 a.m. until noon. Weekly updates and vendor spotlights can be found on the Martin Farmers Market Facebook page. The Market is open throughout the summer into the early fall.
