Dresden Track & Field Compete in Union City Open

The Dresden Track and Field team met at the Union City Open March 27th to compete with 13 other West Tn Schools.

Dresden Lady Lions placed 3rd overall as a team. Briley Smith smashed the competition in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1.06.77 for first place. Tess Ogg placed 5th in the same race. Bailey Collie championed the 3200m with a time of 14:16 followed closely by Lily Pash with a time of14:35 for second place. Collie also came in second in the 800m with a time of 2:39. Caroline Stevenson earned 4th place in the 1600m. The girls 4x400 meter relay (Smith, Collie, Stevenson and Pash) earned Dresden second place. Also competing for Dresden were Gracie Kibbler (100m, 400m, 4x100), Rylee Cousins (100m, 4x100m, 400m), Jennah Swatzell (100, 4x100m), and Alicia Ramos (100m, 200m, 4x100m), Tess Ogg (800m, long jump), Allyssa Lemoine (discus), Lily Pash (800m), Caroline Stevenson (800m), Briley Smith (200m).

The boys team came in 7th overall. Vaughn Bounds had a time of 2:07 for the 800-meter race for a 2nd place finish.  Dresden also had top finishers in the 3200 meter race, Bounds-4th, Carson Brownlow-Rendon – 5th and Jesse Pash-6th.  Terrance Nelson, Asher Mathney, Vaughn Bounds and Carson Browlow-Rendon placed 3rd in the 4x400 meter relay. Other boys competing for the Lions were Westly Turner (100m, 4x100m), Gavin Ellison (100m, 4x100m, long jump), Terrance Nelson (100m, 200m), Ryan Cousins (200m), Asher Matheny (400m), Jesse Pash (400m), Brice Rother (800m, 1600m), Christian Pash (800m, 1600m, long jump, discus), Carson Brownlow-Rendon (1600m), Vaughn Bounds (discus).

The Lions will travel to Murray, KY April 5th to compete at Calloway Co. High School.
