The University of Tennessee at Martin’s chapter of Phi Eta Sigma hosted its induction ceremony March 2 in the Watkins Auditorium in the Boling University Center. The honor society inducted 140 new members.
The Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society is an organization that has been at UT Martin for 15 years, and since its rechartering, it has initiated 2,250 students.
The national Phi Eta Sigma society promotes student leadership and academic achievement, and promotes inclusivity and diversity.
Invitations to join the society are sent to first-time, first-year students who meet full-time enrollment expectations, and who have earned a 3.5 or better grade-point average during their first semester.
