Tn Man to Serve 8 Years for Attempted Murder at MTD Two years Ago

On June 25, 2022 25-year-old Kentrel Ne’Air Siner was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault after, according to an affidavit by Jeremy Scott Diehl with the Martin Police Department, he unlawfully discharged a firearm in the MTD/Stanley Black and Decker parking lot while several employees were on break. According to the affidavit Siner “placed employees in danger of serious bodily injury or harm. Siner was also charged with Reckless Endangerment. Siner was placed on a $25,000 bond.

During the May term of the Weakley County Grand Jury, Siner was indicted on a First-Degree Murder charge. The indictment states that Siner traveled “to the victims place of work with a mask and firearm and waited for the victim to exit before confronting and shooting at him.”

Siner was also indicted for Criminal Conspiracy to Commit First Degree Murder, Unlawful Carrying or Possession of a Weapon, and Employment of a Firearm During Dangerous Felony.

On Monday, July 22, Siner was sentenced in Judge Jeff Parham’s Circuit Court for the charge of Attempt to Commit First Degree Murder which was pled down to Aggravated Assault, a Class C felony. The sentence was for 6 years with 203 days to count as time served. For the conviction of unlawful possession of a weapon, Siner was sentenced to serve 8 years with 203 days of time-served to count and supervised probation for 7 years, 6 months and 12 days.

The Conspiracy to Commit First Degree Murder charge and Employment of Firearm During Dangerous Felony charge was dismissed.

Siner was represented by Benjamin Harmon out of Savannah, TN. Siner will serve his time at the Tennessee Department of Corrections.
