Union City Man Indicted for First Degree Murder in Connection with Shooting at Local Bar

A Union City man could face the death penalty or life in prison for the murder of a man at Cadillacs Bar and Grill in Martin last December.

According to an affidavit received from Officer Jeffrey Dean at Martin Police Department, on December 31, 2023, officers responded to Cadillacs Bar in reference to shots fired.

 Officers made contact with the victim who had multiple gun shot wounds. Through their investigation, 23-year-old Quardarious R. Davis was seen on surveillance footage approaching the victim, brandishing a concealed firearm and firing four shots at the victim.

The victim was struck multiple times before falling to the ground. Davis was also identified in a photo lineup by an eyewitness at the scene.

The victim was transported to West Tennessee Healthcare Volunteer Hospital emergency room where he was later pronounced dead from his wounds. Further investigation found that Davis had a prior felony conviction and he was charged with Unlawful Carrying or Possession of a Weapon, First Degree Murder, Reckless Endangerment (Serious Injury or Use of a Deadly Weapon) X4.

Davis was indicted by the May term of the grand jury and has a status hearing on October 11 in Judeg Jeff Parham’s Circuit Court. Davis is represented by Martin Attorney Lowe Finney.
